Obama's Birth Certificate

For the conspiracy theory I decided to research the theory of whether or not Barrack Hussein Obama is a natural born United States citizen.  To be specific I will be researching whether or not he even has a United States birth certificate proving he is a natural born citizen.  From his election campaign in 2008 to today people have argued that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen because he can not present his original birth certificate.  According to an article written by Jerome R. Corsi on WND.com.   To further raise the questionability of Obama’s birth certificate the he points out a couple of things.  First he explains how a judged decided that the birth certificate is not relevant to whether or not Obama can have his name on a Primary ballot for president   He also states that Sherriff Joe Arpaio has found probable cause that Obama’s long-form birth certificate, which he has presented, is a forgery.  Corsi goes on to state how Obama’s lawyer could not present the original birth certificate to prove his citizenship, because she said that she did not have it.  He states that this is significant because it would have answered the question which has been asked for a long time.  In response to this article I looked up several sources, which talks about this topic.  First source I will look at is an article from pbs.org.  I trust PBS as a credible source since they are non-profit and have always tried to be unbiased.  They have a few videos posted on the article as sources for their article.  They first speak about how Obama released his long form birth certificate to “end this silliness.”  They also show Donald Trump speaking to the press about how he played a major role in getting Obama to release his long form birth certificate.

He also questioned Obama’s birth, which adds a lot of credibility in the eyes of some people because he is a successful businessman so he should have done his research.  Personally for me I would need more information before I am a decision.  The second source I went to research this theory was Wikipedia.  I believe Wikipedia to be a good source about this because they have over 100 different references to support their claims and their sources are from legitimately respected news organizations.  Wikipedia has a large amount of knowledge on this subject.  They show that the director of Hawaii Department of Health personally was that Obama’s Birth Certificate was copied and sent to the President in order to stop the rumors.  They made two copies, signed a letter stating that the Birth Certificate was authentic and gave Obama a receipt for the transactions of requesting a copy of a Birth Certificate.  Later in the article it goes on to speak about Sherriff Arpaio’s discovery of probable cause that the birth certificate was forged.  They reference a newspaper called the Phoenix New Times, which reports that Sherriff Arpaio’s probable cause has been debunked or disproven.   For the final source I went to in order to look in to this matter, I decided to go to snopes.com.  Snopes is well know as being an excellent source to go to in order to find the truth or fiction behind these new urban legends.  They continually update the facts behind the rumors and use legitimate news sources to support their conclusion.   The first thing I noticed is that they also note how Sherriff Arpaio”s investigation was debunked.  This adds to the case that the birth certificate is not a forgery since we confirmed though two sources that the Sherriff did not find evidence of it.  They even give a hyperlink to a site the gives the information of how the theory was debunked.  There are also a number of video links on the webpage, which goes through detail of how experts did not find proof that Barrack Obama’s Birth Certificate was forged.  Mr. John Woodman, who created the videos, wrote a book about how he, a computer expert, was able to scientifically determine if there is evidence that Barrack Obama’s Birth Certificate was forged, created them.  Overall there is good amount information that went into this theory.  However, at each of the sources I went to the reasons for their theories were proven wrong.  Perhaps, in a one in a million chance the theory could be valid or plausible, but according to the evidence I have looked at I would have to call the forged Birth Certificate theory “Busted.”
