Obama's Birth Certificate

For the conspiracy theory I decided to research the theory of whether or not Barrack Hussein Obama is a natural born United States citizen.  To be specific I will be researching whether or not he even has a United States birth certificate proving he is a natural born citizen.  From his election campaign in 2008 to today people have argued that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen because he can not present his original birth certificate.  According to an article written by Jerome R. Corsi on WND.com.   To further raise the questionability of Obama’s birth certificate the he points out a couple of things.  First he explains how a judged decided that the birth certificate is not relevant to whether or not Obama can have his name on a Primary ballot for president   He also states that Sherriff Joe Arpaio has found probable cause that Obama’s long-form birth certificate, which he has presented, is a forgery.  Corsi goes on to state how Obama’s lawyer could not present the original birth certificate to prove his citizenship, because she said that she did not have it.  He states that this is significant because it would have answered the question which has been asked for a long time.  In response to this article I looked up several sources, which talks about this topic.  First source I will look at is an article from pbs.org.  I trust PBS as a credible source since they are non-profit and have always tried to be unbiased.  They have a few videos posted on the article as sources for their article.  They first speak about how Obama released his long form birth certificate to “end this silliness.”  They also show Donald Trump speaking to the press about how he played a major role in getting Obama to release his long form birth certificate.

He also questioned Obama’s birth, which adds a lot of credibility in the eyes of some people because he is a successful businessman so he should have done his research.  Personally for me I would need more information before I am a decision.  The second source I went to research this theory was Wikipedia.  I believe Wikipedia to be a good source about this because they have over 100 different references to support their claims and their sources are from legitimately respected news organizations.  Wikipedia has a large amount of knowledge on this subject.  They show that the director of Hawaii Department of Health personally was that Obama’s Birth Certificate was copied and sent to the President in order to stop the rumors.  They made two copies, signed a letter stating that the Birth Certificate was authentic and gave Obama a receipt for the transactions of requesting a copy of a Birth Certificate.  Later in the article it goes on to speak about Sherriff Arpaio’s discovery of probable cause that the birth certificate was forged.  They reference a newspaper called the Phoenix New Times, which reports that Sherriff Arpaio’s probable cause has been debunked or disproven.   For the final source I went to in order to look in to this matter, I decided to go to snopes.com.  Snopes is well know as being an excellent source to go to in order to find the truth or fiction behind these new urban legends.  They continually update the facts behind the rumors and use legitimate news sources to support their conclusion.   The first thing I noticed is that they also note how Sherriff Arpaio”s investigation was debunked.  This adds to the case that the birth certificate is not a forgery since we confirmed though two sources that the Sherriff did not find evidence of it.  They even give a hyperlink to a site the gives the information of how the theory was debunked.  There are also a number of video links on the webpage, which goes through detail of how experts did not find proof that Barrack Obama’s Birth Certificate was forged.  Mr. John Woodman, who created the videos, wrote a book about how he, a computer expert, was able to scientifically determine if there is evidence that Barrack Obama’s Birth Certificate was forged, created them.  Overall there is good amount information that went into this theory.  However, at each of the sources I went to the reasons for their theories were proven wrong.  Perhaps, in a one in a million chance the theory could be valid or plausible, but according to the evidence I have looked at I would have to call the forged Birth Certificate theory “Busted.”

Negative Aspects of Online games

Online gaming has had a terrible effect on a number of people.  Some people become so addicted to an online game or online gaming in general that they no longer care about anything else.  Online games cause people to forget their priorities focus on the game instead of school, work, family, and their real world friends.  They become a social recluse, although they may have a large number of friends online who they have never met.  Such people are creating a self-destructive behavior.  The more they play their games the more the are going to isolate themselves and have a harder time interacting in the real world.    They can even become so addicted to a game that they die from doing nothing else.  There have been several deaths around the world cause from online game addiction, most notably in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and the United States.  Some involve negligence to a child caused by game addiction and others involve the gamer killing another person because they interrupted their game.  Now I am not saying that all video games are bad, I am just saying that some online video games like World of Warcraft have a negative impact.  Most of the time it won't involve death or crime, but I would involve a misplacement of priorities and waste a lot of time, as stated earlier.  They ignore their school work and spend all their time inside doing something will not benefit them in the long run  Video games have been used to teach students and children and are very effective.  Casual video games can also be used as a way to relax.  I will occasionally play “Angry Birds,” but I will not let it take up too much of my time or become so focused on the game that I will be determined to become one of the best in the world.  Video game are fun, but I figure, why play for nearly days when it is not real?

I decided to see Johnny Cash’s website and see if it complements his style.  As I first entered the website I immediately saw that the website complemented Johnny Cash’s music as well as his life. The first thing that one would see is the picture of Johnny Cash in the center of the webpage with fire underneath him.  To those who are fans, it obviously is symbolizing his trademark song “Ring of Fire.”  The background colors also complemented his style.  It was black slowly went into a dark red.  It gave the site a kind of old west or cowboy ranch kind of feeling and it represented him as “the man in black.”  Johnny Cash was a cowboy of sorts.  One of the cowboy songs he sang was “Ghost Riders.”  Also near the bottom of the page was a type of crest.  It was a golden eagle surrounded by stars, like from the American Flag.  This represented his patriotic songs he sang like, “The Ballad of Ira Hayes,” which was about one of the soldiers who raised the Flag on Iwo Jima.
At the bottom of the crest was a Bible with a cross, which also was a part of his latter songs.  He sang a number of songs with religious themes in them. The text on the site was just a regular font that you would see anywhere. They could change it to represent Johnny Cash a little more.  On different parts of the site, window would pop up with a type of Victorian border on the side, like what you would see in an old home or saloon in an old west movie.
When you enter the main part of the website it begins to play Johnny Cash songs.  In the store area and the gallery area of the site, the main signs are faded, which matches the western theme.  The gallery also has a wood background, which once again matches the western theme of the site.  In the top left corner of the web page there is a play button that controls the songs that are played on the website.  They designed it to look like an old radio knob from the 60’s and early 70’s.  I found it also adds to Johnny Cash’s music.  A lot of his music about the lower class people and many of those people probably had radios like this.
Lastly there was the contact page.  In the center of the page was an old postcard yellowed with age with a stamp in the corner that was dated in 1977.  This date and postcard represent the era when Johnny Cash’s music was at its peak with its exposure and popularity.  Also, the bottom right hand corner of the postcard was on fire, once again signifying “The Ring of Fire.” Hanging on another corner of the postcard was a turquoise necklace, like what you would see at a Native American store for tourists.  Johnny Cash liked to wear those like many cowboys do.   Lastly, in the top right corner of the postcard there is Johnny Cash’s signature.  Overall, the website did a great job representing Johnny Cash and his music.

I decided to put Bill O'Reilly and Stephen R. Covey to my twitter feed.  I decided to add Bill O'Reilly to my twitter feed because he is an expert on news both political and social.  He has his own news program on FOX News channel and is the most popular news pundit for conservative Americans.  This is ironic considering the fact that he is a registered member of the independent party. In fact, his show is watched more than any other news program on any other channel for over twelve years.  It shows how a large amount of Americans agree with his views on politics.  His show has run for many years and I believe he has tried to keep as fair and balanced view on the news. Well, as much as a pundit on FOX can, but nonetheless he is a good reporter.  Since he tries to put no spin on the news he calls his show “the No-Spin Zone”.  He has also written a number of books on politics and culture in America.  Among the book he has written are: Culture Warrior and Killing Lincoln.  Both have been best sellers.  Culture Warrior was the New York Times number one bestseller list for non-fiction.  Another one of his book, which I have read when I was in middle school, is the O’Reilly Factor for Kids.  I found a lot of insightful things in his book.  Bill has a masters degree in Broadcast Journalism and has a second masters degree in Public Administration which he earned from Harvard’s school of Government.
I chose Dr. Stephen R. Covey for a different reason.  Stephen R. Covey is a well-known motivational speaker and writer.  I like books like "How to win Friends and Influence People,” which is the go to book to help yourself in your social and business life.  They really speak to me.  Stephen Covey has written a number of successful books on how a person can improve him or herself and make a difference, just like Dale Carnegie.  His most popular book is "7 Habits of Highly Effective People."  It focuses on how we need to align our values with universal and timeless principles.  It has been named the 1# most influential book of the twentieth century.  Including all of his books, he has sold millions of copies. “7 habits” has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.  He later goes on to expand on “the 7 habits” and writes a book about the “8th Habit.”  Covey has been recognized in Time Magazine as one of the top 25 most influential people in America.  Dr. Covey studied and graduated from Harvard University earning his MBA.  He afterwards earned eight honorary doctorate degrees and has earned the International Entrepreneur of the Year Award.  He also established an organization whose purpose is to help individuals and businesses productivity.  Also, on a side note, the Sikh religion award him with the “International Man of Peace Award” which is interesting considering that he is not a member of that religion.

Did all the early philosophers agree with Plato's Charioteer and the Horses theory.  I searched on the Internet about philosophers and emotions and came across an paper from Stanford University that discusses many different philosophers opinions on emotions over the ages to today.  As I read it, it names several well know philosophers who disagreed with Plato's Charioteer and the horse theory.  One of which was his own student Aristotle, who influenced the philosophical group, the Stoics.  Another famous philosopher that agrees with Plato is Cicero.  As I continued my search I discovered that the debated of emotion and rationality has been waged for a long time as shown in another paper I found.  I will admit that about ninety percent of the stuff in the paper I could not understand, but I was able to understand that they did not agree with Plato.  Another question I have is how long can it take for a man's frontal lobe to fully develop.  For me personally, it seems that my frontal lobe is still far from being fully developed.  I am just probably being paranoid or weird.  So, in order to solve this mystery, I searched on the web about frontal lobe development.  I discovered on a website that in men that their frontal lobe does not full connect until they are in their mid-twenties on average.  Some can take a longer time and others a shorter time.  It also shows on a graph that the connection between the frontal lobe and the brain get stronger and stronger until  a person reaches their forties and fifties.  This answer makes feel better.  It just show me that I am not a fully rational person yet, and I have an excuse.
